[Out of School Work] Run Cycle

Worked on creating a frame by frame run cycle a week or two ago but never got around to posting it.

It was definitely a pain to make, but I think it turned out alright, although it bumps up a bit and the tail wasn't consistent - the fur around the neck, stomach and head was also very hard to animate for me, I don't have much experience animating such details.

Total frames: 15
Time spent + touch ups: 2 hours

[e9] [Final] Website Wrap-Up

Originally, this was supposed to be the finished version of an old HTML website that I coded to show off our projects as seen here. But, sadly, that file had been deleted before I could upload it to the server. Instead, I am simply making this post you see now. I'll be using screenshots from the old website to show what it had looked like.

The home page

The 'Project Page'

And finally, the newest addition - Graphic Design.

This was my logo/favicon (of course, it's a bigger size here, just so that it is easier to see.) I didn't actually upload this to my blog yet, as I just... Don't know if it looks all that great. It took a large amount of time and concentration to align everything correctly, as I had greatly messed up the design. I didn't have much of a design plan to go off of, at first, but it slowly developed in my head as I worked.

Over all, I really like the design that I used, even if it is incredibly overcomplicated.

[PERSONALITY QUIZ] [REDO]

I redid the personality quizzes due to a few drastic changes in personality among other things, so I'm putting down some information here about it so that if a teacher checks, they don't assume that I just changed it because I could.

Meyer-Briggs - INTP. I have more intuition on this because some of the options didn't exactly fit what I had in mind, although were somewhat close. I try to balance intuition with thinking - After all, you think almost every second that you're conscious. In the moment, I'll try to feel what fits best with projects among other things, but I think more in depth about it.

Lion/Otter/Retriever/Beaver Quiz

1) Lion. Leader type, good at making decisions and very goal-oriented.  Enjoys challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for improvement. However, think of the goal, they can step on people  to reach it. They can become aggressive and competitive in nature, and need to learn to let others contribute without snapping at them for it.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct.
Weakness: Argumentative, a bit too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn't understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace.

2) Beaver. "Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exact that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

         Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility."

[GD] Colorwheel

My first post from the third rotation of E-9/E-Communication for freshmen. We were to make a color wheel following a tutorial, but not closely and to make our own shape/design.

I'm actually posting this late due to me continuing to fiddle around with the color wheel I had created, as it wasn't aligned properly.

[GD] Famous Icon Tutorial

This past week, we were assigned to create a famous icon via tutorial that we find on YouTube. I choose the Google Play icon. I followed the steps exactly as they had been done, resulting in the ending image. I would have done more, but, being the perfectionist I am, I ended up scrapping all the other ones in favor for the Google Play icon. The finished icon and it's gradients are shown below.

[FINALS] Webpage/Website

Here's a few screenshots of my finals project for e-Communication / e9. This was made using the instructions up on the E-Ravens blog and Adobe's Dreamweaver program. All images except for my bio photograph were from Morguefile. The bio photo was taken by myself.

Above is the Home Page, introducing myself, my Elevator Pitch, and a bit of backstory from myself, along with a picture.

This is the project page, which features the projects from each rotation that I think are some of my best works.

A continuation of the project page, featuring my Chase Scene project and talking about how/why/when it was done.

All the links work perfectly well, the videos play perfectly on the page, and everything functions perfectly.  The only thing I dislike about the page is the black background and the shoddy border, but there is only so much I could do within a few days time, seeing as I don't own Dreamweaver.

All in all, I think I did a pretty fair job on this.

Criticism on this project is appreciated, although I may not respond to all comments.

[PERSONALITY QUIZ] Animal

We were given a small personality quiz that was used to roughly guess our personality and what our animals would be. The animals were all assigned their own personalities in order to help us understand why we were assigned this personality.

My highest ranking was for the Beaver -- An organized, creative creature that wishes to solve everything, to take their time, and to do everything right. They do not like changes and need reassurance.

Their strengths are high standards, order, and respect.

Their weaknesses are unrealistic expectations of themselves and others and being too perfect.

Their limitations are seeing the optimistic side of things and expressing flexibility.

So far, everything there fit me pretty well except for the first limitation, or seeing the optimistic side. I actually tend to be a bit more lost in my own thoughts while I work, and I prefer to be rational about the project, because underestimating yourself is much better than overestimating, in my opinion.

The second highest ranking was for the Golden Retriever dog.

This personality is good at making friends, is very loyal, does not like big change and looks for security. It can every sensitive, caring and has strong, deep rooted relationships, but usually only with a couple of friends. It wants to be loved by everyone and looks for appreciation. They work best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Their strengths are being accommodating, calm, and affirming.

Their weakness are indecision, indifference, the inability to express emotion and being too soft or kind to others.

Their limitations include seeing the need to be more assertive and holding others accountable.
