Here's a few screenshots of my finals project for e-Communication / e9. This was made using the instructions up on the E-Ravens blog and Adobe's Dreamweaver program. All images except for my bio photograph were from Morguefile. The bio photo was taken by myself.
Above is the Home Page, introducing myself, my Elevator Pitch, and a bit of backstory from myself, along with a picture.
This is the project page, which features the projects from each rotation that I think are some of my best works.
A continuation of the project page, featuring my Chase Scene project and talking about how/why/when it was done.
All the links work perfectly well, the videos play perfectly on the page, and everything functions perfectly. The only thing I dislike about the page is the black background and the shoddy border, but there is only so much I could do within a few days time, seeing as I don't own Dreamweaver.
All in all, I think I did a pretty fair job on this.
Criticism on this project is appreciated, although I may not respond to all comments.
Just a freshmen in high school enrolled in the e-Communication program.

[PERSONALITY QUIZ] Animal
We were given a small personality quiz that was used to roughly guess our personality and what our animals would be. The animals were all assigned their own personalities in order to help us understand why we were assigned this personality.
My highest ranking was for the Beaver -- An organized, creative creature that wishes to solve everything, to take their time, and to do everything right. They do not like changes and need reassurance.
Their strengths are high standards, order, and respect.
Their weaknesses are unrealistic expectations of themselves and others and being too perfect.
Their limitations are seeing the optimistic side of things and expressing flexibility.
So far, everything there fit me pretty well except for the first limitation, or seeing the optimistic side. I actually tend to be a bit more lost in my own thoughts while I work, and I prefer to be rational about the project, because underestimating yourself is much better than overestimating, in my opinion.
The second highest ranking was for the Golden Retriever dog.
This personality is good at making friends, is very loyal, does not like big change and looks for security. It can every sensitive, caring and has strong, deep rooted relationships, but usually only with a couple of friends. It wants to be loved by everyone and looks for appreciation. They work best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Their strengths are being accommodating, calm, and affirming.
Their weakness are indecision, indifference, the inability to express emotion and being too soft or kind to others.
Their limitations include seeing the need to be more assertive and holding others accountable.

6-Shot System
The six shot system is a way of taking photos based on the rule of thirds and positions.
Close up on HANDS. This portrays the action of the person featured along with their work or whatever they happen to be doing.
Close up of FACE. It shows their emotion and posture along with the tension that they feel. Further broadens on emotion.
A MEDIUM shot shows the waist and up, being a neutral shot of the subject.
Over the SHOULDER (OTS) shot. It shows both their actions and work, along with scenery and their emotions over what they are doing.
EXTREME WIDE shot. This shot plays out the subject's setting, scenery, action, and basic surrounding. It is mainly used to show where the subject is located.
WIDE shot. This is a head to toe shot of the subject. It establishes features and displays some of the scene.

[TUTORIAL] How To Animate 'Drawing' Out Your Name
Hello, it's Ken here again. One of our assignments this week was to create a tutorial. I'm sorry this isn't as detailed as it probably should be, but I'm exhausted. Alright. First of all, open up a new canvas with the dimensions of 800 x 600.
Next, create a new text layer. Find a somewhat script font, such as a cursive font, and type your first name and first letter of your last name. Resize the text so it fits the entire canvas. Now, the next thing you're going to do is fairly simple but takes patience.
Rasterize the text layer and make a copy of it.
Hide the original layer and shave a small part of your last letter off. You're going to be copying, hiding and shaving off bits of the letters as you go, ONE LETTER AT A TIME.
When you're finally done with that process, select all the frames and bring up your timeline window. Create a frame animation and go to the drop down menu. Select 'Turn layers into frames.'
Once that is done, you'll need to go back to the drop down menu and click 'Reverse Frames' after highlighting them all. Check to make sure it works the way you want it to. After that, you're done! You can add a background if you want, as I did, but it doesn't matter if you do or don't.

10 Words Animation
In the recent week, we were assigned to create an animation of ten words that describe us, as seen on one of the gadgets of our blogs. I finished far later than others because I wanted it to be perfect, which cost me three extra days. I have just finished it, though, so here it is.

[ANIMATION] Arching Bouncing Ball
As you can see in this image, there are several errors. For one, photoshop rendered the frames to play slowly, and I myself messed up on the second bounce. It was not as smooth as other project, but I'm at least slightly proud of the background.

Welcome!
Hello! My name is Olivia Beezhold, or to others, some might know me as Ken. I'm a fifteen year old freshman at ONW, and I'm eager to start my E-Communication projects, especially in animation. I've always been interested in art, writing and reading. Thanks for reading.
